Cold.

Here I SIT.

In my BIG chair.

With a FLUFFY blanket.

And a BOX of Kleenex.

UGH!

Yep, I caught whatever bug is going around. So I thought since I am not going to church today, I would take this opportunity to post something new! Really though, not much IS new.

Mom is several weeks into the nursing program and is always doing some sort of homework. Read, read, read. She has about 10 chapters every week to go through. I would go crazy. Seriously. I am way excited for her though, and I know she will make a great nurse when all of this is through. It's fun to play the patient for her homework assignments!

Chance has been getting some overtime at work lately since they were a man short, due to a fella having knee surgery. The guy has finally recuperated enough to come back to work. That means I get my honey back on his days off! YAY! Overtime is nice, but sometimes it's a little too wearing. But it sure is a blessing when payday comes!

I have been teaching Duke some of the basics... sit, stay, down, and come. He is learning soooo fast! I am having a lot of fun with him. Funny story.... He was trying to get on Chance's lap one night and Chance kept pushing Duke off. This is what happened.

Duke got as close as he could and then rested his head on Chance's lap. SO CUTE!

Good News!

(No, I'm not pregnant. I will just get that out of the way right off the bat.)
Ahem.
My mom made it into the nursing program at EAC! Wahoo! And she is going to stay at our house during the days she has to come up here for school! I am really excited, it's going to be a ton of fun having her here! Hopefully they will find a home close to town soon so she doesn't have to commute so stinkin' far! (And that would make their stay more permanent... sweet!) And now Duke has a little inside play-buddy: my mom's Yorkie dog, Chloe. They get along alright, but he is bigger and kinda picks on her. I get to watch her while mom's at school and I have SO much fun with two LITTLE doggies around! :)
Unfortunately, Daisy sees Chloe and thinks she is a moving chew toy. (She IS really fluffy you know.) Poor Chloe. Scares the pee out of her every time. Literally. Poor Daisy too; she has to stay chained up during the day! The will get used to each other, it will just take some time.
Any how, congrats to my mama... love ya!
