Sewing fun!

So I have been a busy little bee! I had some old shirts from work that were just hanging in my closet, and saw a sweet tutorial from Make It And Love It on how to make a cute ruffled shrug. I decided to try it! I didn't take a picture of the before, just imagine this with a collar and the rest of the shirt. :) I used the left over fabric from the bottom of the shirt to cut into strips for the ruffles.
I had to remove the yellow, since it made the shirt pucker, and covered the hole with this sweet fabric yo yo! I sewed in some beads from some old jewelry.
I gathered the sleeves so that I didn't have to trim them, and sewed in some elastic around the bottom to make it fit better.

This is the finished product! Super cute and best of all... I made it! AND it was practically free!

It looks even cuter on... I promise!
